Full disclosure: this isn't a complete spot. It's a montage of footage I shot as B-unit Director for RAM in Austin, Texas. Despite not having a complete story, I'm sharing this project anyway because of its role in my journey as a director.
My friends & colleagues TAO/S (Aaron & Winston Tao) were scheduled to shoot a large, two-unit RAM campaign. When severe weather caused the production to be delayed by several weeks, Aaron was no longer able to attend due to the impending birth of his daughter. I'm grateful that Aaron trusted me to step in and direct the second unit for 3 days of Russian Arm, drone, off-roading and even some performance. Despite working 18hr+ days, I had the time of my life. When I was directing, it didn't feel like working, and reaffirmed for me that it was time to make a change.
